QUALIFYING FOR A MORTGAGE LOAN AS A FIRST TIME HOME BUYER IN MD AND VA.

There are several home loan types that are reserved for only FIRST TIME HOME BUYERS.  Just what does that mean?

1.  That you or any of the co-borrowers have not owned real estate for the past 3 years, anywhere.

2.  That you meet the minimum income limits for the guidelines of the First Time HOme Buyer program you’re interested in.

3.  That the mortgage company you’re working with is elegible for the First Time Home Buyer program you’re interested in.

4.  That your credit scores meets the minimum required score for that particular First Time Home Buyer progran.
